Introduction: The State of Politics Today
No one is ready to accept their faults today, but I believe that blaming others is not the solution. Life situations shape who we are and what we learn. I have observed that the political value of today’s world is not good for our nation. Every parent dreams that their child should live a secure and comfortable life with a good job. But I think differently.
If every youth of this nation only seeks a secure job, then who will lead
the nation? Who will speak for justice and truth? That is the greatest
problem today. Every young person is searching for comfort and safety - but
the life of a leader is different. It is full of challenges, criticism, and
sacrifice.
Politics: A Calling, Not a Career
When a person chooses politics, their life becomes difficult. Even their family may not understand them. They might ask, “Why are you wasting your time?” But politics isn't a safe career; it is a calling that demands courage and sacrifice. A true leader must be ready to face struggle and loneliness.Everyone cannot become a politician, but everyone must have political awareness. Even if you are a teacher, a soldier, an entrepreneur, or a scientist, you serve the nation in your own way. However, you must understand why you are doing it. Your motivation should never be only for personal comfort; it must be for the nation.
Politics is not a job; it is a responsibility.
If you want to enter politics, first become economically independent. Establish your own profession. Be strong enough to stand for truth, not for power.
The Problem With Modern Politics
In today’s politics, we see endless fights between parties. When one party
rules, the opposition only criticizes, even when something beneficial is
achieved. When power changes, the same counterproductive process repeats.
This cycle is detrimental to the nation. The real problem is that many
people treat politics as a career, not as a duty, and this is what breeds
corruption.A true politician must treat everyone equally—even their enemies. Personal revenge has no place in politics. If you are the Prime Minister or Chief Minister, you are the leader of the entire nation, not only of your supporters.
A follower should not be blind. Every person should have their own political values. If your party goes against your morals or principles, you must have the courage to stand against it. Many fear doing so because they desire position or power. That is the biggest failure in our politics today. You must question your own party if it is wrong. That is real patriotism.
The Role of Citizens
If you lack morals, values, and principles, you should not enter politics. However, every citizen must understand politics, because democracy survives only when citizens are aware. Every person has the right to vote, and that vote has the power to create the government. Therefore, voting with awareness and moral understanding is a sacred duty.Religion should never control politics. Religion may guide a person’s values, but politics must serve all humans equally. We are humans before we are anything else—not Hindu, Muslim, or Christian. If I am born Hindu today, I might be born into a different faith in another life. So, why should we divide ourselves by religion? We should unite in humanity.
Hate spreads quickly, but love spreads slowly. Still, we must choose love. Even if someone is your enemy, respect them. Help them if they suffer, because that is the essence of humanity. We are humans, and the system is designed to protect humans, not destroy them.
Ahimsa, Freedom, and Responsibility
Without any reason, we should not practice himsa (violence)—the truth is, Ahimsa (non-violence) is our fundamental responsibility. We must give freedom to all. We must grant independence to all. Every person deserves the right to live as they wish. Denying that freedom is what fundamentally creates violence. The right to speech and expression is, therefore, one of the greatest strengths of a vibrant society.
Ultimately, everyone has the right to live the life they dream of.
Conclusion
So, I conclude with these words - these mantras of peace and humanity:Love your nation.
Respect everyone.
Protect truth and non-violence.
Build a safe and good society.
Create a bright future for the generations to come.
Thank you for reading my article.
God bless you all.
